REVISION OF THE REQUIREMENT FOR A NO OBJECTION LETTER FROM THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION

This serves to advise you of the changes approved by the Board of Directors of the Jamaica Tourist Board (ITB) on February 21, 2023 in relation to the requirement for tourism entities to submit a No Objection Letter from the Municipal Corporation with their application for a Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) Licence.

In keeping with the approval granted by the JTB, the following is to be noted with respect to the requirement to submit a No Objection Letter from the Municipal Corporation with an application by a tourism entity applying for a JTB Licence:

  1. Only newly constructed tourism entities will be required to submit a “No Objection Letter” from the Municipal Corporation.

  1. New tourism entities that are not newly constructed and are applying for a JTB licence will no longer be required to submit a “No Objection Letter”.

  1. This will also not be applicable to other operators who are applying for the renewal of their JTB licence, that were previously issued with a “No Objection Letter” that had an expiry date.”

We look forward to your support and cooperation in effecting the above changes.
