Terms & Conditions

Please read the following terms and conditions thoroughly prior to submitting your entry. If you require further clarification, do not hesitate to contact us via email heritage360@tpdco.org.*

I confirm that I am the original creator and copyright owner of all photographs submitted and further warrants that the photographs do not infringe upon the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any other rights of any third party.

Participants may submit up to three (3) original photographs for consideration. Each photograph must be submitted separately and comply with all contest requirements and submission guidelines.

I acknowledge and agree that only one (1) photograph per participant may be shortlisted as a finalist. Where multiple submissions from the same participant meet the judging criteria, The Tourism Product Development Company reserves the right to select the single strongest entry for advancement to the final round of judging.

Submission of multiple photographs does not increase a participant's chances of having more than one image shortlisted or receiving multiple prizes. Each participant is eligible to receive only one prize in the competition.

The Tourism Product Development Company reserves the right to disqualify any entry where: any information supplied is false or misrepresented; photograph has been manipulated contrary to the rules; participant breaches these Terms and Conditions; copyright ownership cannot be verified and/or inappropriate content is submitted.

By entering the Contest, I grant The Tourism Product Development Company the irrevocable right, without further compensation, to use my name, photograph, likeness, image, voice, parish of residence and winning entry for publicity, promotional, educational, tourism, cultural and media purposes in any format.

By submitting photographs, I grant The Tourism Product Development Company a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, and irrevocable license to use, reproduce, publish, distribute, display, adapt, edit, crop, resize, and otherwise reproduce the submitted photographs for promotional, educational, cultural, tourism, archival, and informational purposes.

Where reasonably practicable, The Tourism Product Development Company will acknowledge the photographer by name. However, failure to provide such credit shall not constitute a breach of these Terms and Conditions.

Where any identifiable individual(s) appear in a submitted photograph, the participant warrants that they have obtained the necessary written permission(s) or model release(s) from the individual (s) (or from a parent or legal guardian where the individual(s) is under eighteen (18) years of age) allowing the photograph to be used in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

Participants agree to indemnify and keep indemnified The Tourism Product Development Company, its employees, officers, agents and representatives against all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses arising out of breach of these Terms and Conditions; copyright infringement; privacy claims; misuse of third-party images; failure to obtain model releases and/or any inaccurate representation made by the participant.

Personal information collected during the submission process will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act and applicable privacy laws and policies and used solely for the administration of the photo submission process, communication with participants, verification of eligibility and any other purpose directly connected with the administration of the Contest. Personal information will not be disclosed to third parties except where required by law, necessary for the administration of the Contest, or with the participant's consent.

Photographs submitted shall not be simultaneously entered into another photography competition prior to the announcement of the official winners unless The Tourism Product Development Company provides prior written approval.

Prize-winning photographs may not be sold, licensed, assigned or used in commercial advertising or marketing campaigns that conflict with The Tourism Product Development Company's licence rights without prior written consent.

Submission of a photograph constitutes full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to all provisions contained herein.

Judging Criteria:

Photographs will be judged according to their heritage tourism relevance, storytelling & interpretation, creativity & originality and technical quality.
