Originally from Gayle, St. Mary, Akeen’s passion for music began in the church choir, where he first honed his vocal skills. His love for performance continued to grow during his time working in the hotel industry, where he further developed his stage presence and ability to connect with audiences. Akeen’s journey has been defined by a deep commitment to staying true to his faith and values.
Since his victory, Akeen has been embracing his newfound fame, sharing how overwhelming the experience has been, with his vocal capacity now stronger than ever. His growth as an artist is reflected in his upcoming music, with the release of two new singles, ‘Every Christmas’ and ‘Fighta’, both produced by Kingyard Productions. Every Christmas is a reggae-infused take on Luther Vandross’s holiday classic, while ‘Fighta’ is a motivational anthem inspired by Akeen’s personal journey of strength, faith, and resilience.
Akeen is scheduled to perform at the Craft with a Difference – A Black Friday Weekend Extravaganza in Montego Bay on December 1, 2024. His performances promise to be captivating and full of energy, as he brings his passion for music to audiences across Jamaica.
