Mr. Lionel Myrie
Mr. Lionel Myrie serves as the Deputy Executive Director of the Tourism Product Development Company Limited (TPDCo), where he provides strategic leadership in advancing Jamaica’s tourism product in alignment with the National Tourism Strategy and Vision 2030. In this capacity, he plays a pivotal role in shaping policies and driving initiatives that enhance destination competitiveness, sustainability, and visitor experience.
With a strong emphasis on innovation and quality, Mr. Myrie champions the development of a diverse and resilient tourism offering through the cultivation of strategic partnerships with local communities, government agencies, and private sector stakeholders. His work is grounded in fostering inclusive growth and strengthening the linkages between tourism and national development.
Mr. Myrie is a dedicated and forward-thinking professional who began his tenure at TPDCo as a Destination Manager for the Negril destination area. Over the years, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership, supported by extensive experience in operations management, policy formulation, corporate governance, and stakeholder engagement. His commitment to excellence and transformative leadership continues to contribute significantly to the sustainable development of Jamaica’s tourism sector.
Complementing his professional contributions, he also serves as a Justice of the Peace and holds the esteemed position of Chairman of Rusea’s High School.
