Professor Crooks is the Chairman of the Resort Board of St. Ann/St. Mary and Board Director of TPDCo.  He is a past student of St. Ann’s Bay Primary School, York Castle and Calabar High Schools, Excelsior Community College, the University of the West Indies (EM), United Nations of  Peace University – Belgium, University of Havana, SMAE University – ( Eng.), Jamaica School of Music and London School of Music.

A Medical/Health Guru, his path in the field of Health & Wellness spans forty (4O) years. Professor Crooks is qualified in Podology/Podiatry/Chiropody, Medicine/Surgery,
Osteopathy/manipulative/Chiropractic Medicine, Physiotherapy, Emergency/Trauma/Critical Care Field Medicine, Chinese Acupuncture, Naturopathy, Homeopathy, Holistic Medicine. He is a pioneer in the field of Pre – Hospital Care and Ambulance services equipped to Advanced Cardiac/Trauma Life Support and has the only service locally with intensive care unit (ICU) capability with on-board portable vent.

He is qualified also as a Musicologist and is a Chorale and Orchestra Director. He directs four Mass Choirs, two Orchestras and is Organist/Pianist, Wind/String and Reed Instrumentalist and a Operatic/Ballad and Gospel Artiste/Vocalist.

Having been conferred with the Knight Commander of St. John of Jerusalem and Knight of Malta & International Notary Public with his Ecumenical Royal Order, he is a visible, hardworking Community and Tourism Advocate and a champion of the People.

Professor Crooks is a Maroon who is a practicing Catholic.  He is the son of Major & Mrs. Joslyn/Elma Crooks retired Salvation Army Officers and Ministers of Religion.

He is married with three grown children. His daughter is his Business Partner.
