Tourism Product Development Company Ltd. (TPDCo.) is seeking to identify qualified, motivated and results-oriented professional to fill the following position:

 

SENIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER – KINGSTON

 

Under the direction of the Director, Product Development & Community Tourism, the Senior Business Development Officer, provides guidance through BDOs to individuals and businesses within the Tourism Product Framework.  To ensure transformation of innovative ideas in Tourism activities that are; viable, profitable and sustainable economically over the long term. The incumbent will ensure that the individuals and businesses have access to technological elements and balances development and conservation of the environment.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Liaise with prospective & existing entrepreneurs on behalf of TPDCo. in order to facilitate the development of their businesses
  • Executes tasks derived from facilitation process
  • Visits and monitors business development sites and reports to the Project and Business Development Manager on a timely basis
  • Liaise with technical experts internally and externally with a view to providing guidance to entrepreneurs
  • Advise on potential funding sources
  • Respond to enquiries from members of the business community and the general public concerning tourism business development opportunities
  • Represent Project and Business Development Manager when necessary

  • Knowledge of business development, analysis, and Business Management
  • Knowledge of legislative framework for tourism investment
  • Knowledge of Tourism Industry concepts and strategies

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration or related discipline
  • Three years’ experience in a business development environment
