The Tourism Product Development Company Ltd. (TPDCo.) is seeking to identify a motivated and results-oriented professional to fill the following position:


Accounting Clerk – Receivables – Kingston


Under the supervision of the Accountant, the Accounting Clerk – Receivables will provide assistance to the Finance Department to ensure that accounts receivable matters pertaining to both internal and external customers are treated with the confidentiality and urgency required.  




  • Assists with Bank Reconciliations for the following TPDCo Bank Accounts:
    • Savings
    • Recurrent
    • Payroll
  • Issues receipts and prepares lodgments which include:
    • Preparation and input of receipt summary
    • Preparation of monthly JADCO statements and distribution
    • Updating the Receivables Ledger re: invoices and payments
  • Assists with Payroll Payments:
    • Entering all payroll related payments to the system
    • Updating journals relating to payroll
    • Preparing Statutory Payments
  • Analyses the general ledger accounts for the trial balance on a monthly basis
  • Assists with the TPDCo Pension database – entering all employees’ pension information on a monthly basis
  • Analyses and provides explanations for variances in respect of the general ledger accounts and training fees
  • Enters receipt transactions in the general ledger and sub-ledger
  • Any other tasks that are congruous with the organizational goals and objectives




  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Oracle HCM and Sage 300
  • Knowledgeable of current accounting practices
  • Effective and efficient time management skills
  • Ability to use reasoning and good judgment
  • Ability to achieve and maintain a high level of accuracy




  • Certificate in Accounts or other related fields
  • Five (5) CXC/GCE O’Level passes including Mathematics, English Language and Accounts
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in a similar position
