CLOSE but not close enough  (Naggo Head Primary v. Spring Garden Primary)

Air Date: Thursday June 28, 2018

Rebroadcast: Friday June 29, 2018 at 4:30 pm

In this final match in the quarter finals round and with only one spot to claim, it was a battle between the east and the west. Naggo Head Primary out of St. Catherine and Spring Garden Primary, from Trelawny kept the audience on the edge of their seats. Would it be the east or the west? Leading for the most part, Naggo Head Primary convinced everyone that they were already claiming the only semi-final spot left and the opportunity to be named the TPDCo Tourism Quiz champions. In section one, they had a four point lead over their rival, of only nine points and continued the chase in the second round, maintaining a lead of only three points. However, Spring Garden was not holding up and tackled the eastern based school all the way, but their tail chasing and determined spirits was not enough, as Naggo Head Primary won with 15 points, a 4 point lead over the “Fi Wi Falmouth” quiz champions from Trelawny.
