Steps for Obtaining a Jamaica Tourist Board Licence
- Submission of application form and required documents relevant to licence being applied for
- Inspection of facility/motor vehicle
- Upon recommendation of inspection, application is then submitted to Jamaica Tourist Board for review at their monthly board meeting
- If approved, licence certification is prepared and signed by the JTB chairman
- Applicant is advised that licence is ready and the fees applicable
- Voucher for payment of fees can be obtained at any regional office of TPDCo and paid at any branch of Bank of Nova Scotia Licence is collected upon receipt of paid voucher

The Product Quality Department ensures that all tourism entities operate at all times with valid Jamaica Tourist Board licences.
Requirements by Law
- All entities operating in the tourism sector must have JTB Licences

- All operators using the beach or beach front for commercial activity must have beach licences
|
- All buildings/sites must have Natural Resources Conservation Authority (NRCA) permits
|
- All Watersports operators (boats) must have Maritime Authority licences and fisheries licences.
|
- All contract carriage operators must have PPV licences
|
- Hotels must have Public Health Certificates
|
