JOIN THIS EXCITING INDUSTRY!
Persons wishing to join the tourism industry or to enhance their existing operations are now being encouraged to take advantage of the vast untapped potential in areas such as accommodation, attractions, tour operations and shopping.
Under the newly launched Tourism for Prosperity Entrepreneurship Drive, candidates will be assisted by TPDCo from project conceptualization to implementation. They will be given:
- Assistance in assessing project viability
- Advice on how to develop their ideas into income generating projects
- Referral to agencies and organisations which provide services in business planning and development
- Advice on how to access funding and establish business relations with financial institutions
- Information on tax incentives available through the Ministry of Industry and Tourism
- Training in resort skills for prospective employees
- Guidance on standard requirements for upgrading existing services
The entrepreneurship drive is in keeping with TPDCo's strategy to promote tourism development in order to encourage product diversification and enhancement, while at the same time fostering a culture of inclusion in the sector.
